Questions
Good to know
What size bag should I use?
Only standard 13-gallon tall kitchen trash bags. Please make sure each bag has no holes or rips and is tied closed. Contractor bags, lawn bags, oversized bags and other containers are not accepted.
Is there a minimum?
Yes, 3 bags per pickup. Sheets and towels count, so most households reach it easily.
How fast will I get it back?
Next day. Pickups run Monday through Friday. Weekend requests can be considered; just ask.
Is my laundry mixed with anyone else's?
Never. Every customer's laundry is washed in its own loads.
Can you hang my clothes?
Yes. Send hangers in your bag and I'll hang anything you'd like hung.
Do you wash comforters?
By request only. Comforters are big and take a long time to dry, so message me first and I'll let you know if I can take it.
What can't you wash?
Dry-clean-only items, anything with a "do not wash" tag, and items with heavy pet hair or hazardous stains.
What if something has a stain?
Any stains I find are noted and photographed before washing, so you'll know what was there when your laundry arrived. I'll let you know about anything that doesn't come out in the wash.
What about things left in pockets?
I check every pocket. Anything I find, from coins to receipts to lip balm, goes in a small bag and is returned with your clean laundry.
How do I pay?
Venmo (@porchlaundryco), Zelle (theporchlaundryco@gmail.com) or cash. Payment is due before delivery: once your laundry is washed and folded, I'll text your total, and your laundry goes out as soon as payment comes in. Paying cash? Hand it to me at pickup, or be home at drop-off and pay when I hand over your laundry.
